H.A.L.T. Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in Bakersfield, CA. We are an animal rescue whose large ambitions include rescuing homeless dogs and cats, providing them with medical attention and most importantly, finding them the loving homes they deserve. We saw the need to step forward and create a way to help the nearly 20,000 dogs and cats that are euthanized annually in Kern County.
Our organization is supported by friends and volunteers that share this vision. We believe strongly that animals deserve our love, compassion and respect. We strive to serve the animals in the county shelters that do not have the option of being adopted. All of our rescue animals are spayed or neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped before leaving our kennels.
